  A short heart rate test to measure your body's efficiency using oxygen, in order to create the optimal training program for you.  
 
  WHAT PEOPLE THINK:  
  After following a (slow!) 6 week training plan, focusing on increasing my aerobic threshold, I can run faster at a lower heart rate! I did my follow up test, and now my aerobic threshold is 120, burning 375 calories an hour (I now burn 297 at 100 bpm), and my anaerobic threshold is now 160bpm burning 761 calories an hour! I love being able to run feeling strong and comfortable - it actually makes me want to get out there!

  Find your optimal training
heart rate!

 

This VO2 test will tell you exactly where your heart rate should be when exercising based on your goals. It will define at least three heart rate zones: aerobic or fat burning zone; anaerobic or cardio zone; and your redline or speed zone.

It is important to know YOUR specific zones so you can train your body to be more efficient with the oxygen you breathe. Whether you dread running or are an athlete in training, training according to your heart rate is more efficient than training according to a certain speed or distance. Not only will you feel better when you are done, but you will be preventing injuries and over-training. Start training in your zones that will give you the most benefit!
